North Point School (K-9) is seeking a Certified Physical Education Teacher (1.0, full-time).

Founded in 2014, we have grown from 7 to 70+ students in four short years. Our faculty and staff are a small dynamic team who work cohesively and drive the road less-travelled. Position Summary

The North Point Physical Education Teacher is a full-time (1.0) position that commences August 26, 2019 and reports to the Head of School. In addition to managing the Physical Education program and teaching the Physical Education classes, the successful candidate will provide classroom assistance and have supervisory responsibilities. The successful candidate will coach (after hours) various North Point teams involved with the CISAA (Gr. 7-9), along with planning field trips for our Action Fridays.

What you Bring to North Point

Qualifications are as follows:

  • Bachelor of Education.
  • Alberta Education teaching certificate or interim certificate in good standing.
  • Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer literacy: proficient and knowledgeable with Word processors, spreadsheets, Email, Internet, and IPad.
  • Understands the needs of students and goes beyond the call of duty.
  • Excellent classroom management, organization and planning skills.
  • Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things.
  • Communicates with parents, students, and co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Confident solving problems and providing solutions when issues arise.
  • Works with a high standard of integrity.
  • Willing to accept extracurricular coaching duties
