North Point is seeking a certified teacher to fill a full-time Physical Education Teaching Position (K-9):

Qualifications are as follows:

  • Bachelor of Education.
  • Alberta Education teaching certificate or interim certificate in good standing.
  • Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer literacy: proficient and knowledgeable with Word processors, spreadsheets, Email, Internet, and IPad.
  • Understands the needs of students and goes beyond the call of duty.
  • Excellent classroom management, organization and planning skills.
  • Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things.
  • Communicates with parents, students, and co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Confident solving problems and providing solutions when issues arise.
  • Works with a high standard of integrity.
  • Willing to accept extracurricular coaching duties

This full time (1.0) position will commence on August 27, 2018. Depending on enrollment and the number of PE classes for this assignment, there may be classroom assistance or supervisory responsibilities added. The successful candidate will be coaching (after hours) various North Point teams involved with the CISAA along with planning field trips for our Action Fridays.
