The boys had a great time orienteering last Friday. They came back with rosy cheeks and excited about learning outside of the classroom. The rest of this week featured a captivating presentation by author, Sigmud Brouwer (for more visit our Social Media channels) and picture day.

After our monthly Town Hall, a spooktacular afternoon of fun and festivities is being planned for your little goblins. There will be a pumpkin carving contest, Fear Factor, games, treats and a haunted house. Parents, we need a few volunteers, so please sign up on Sign-Up Genius. Here are a few more specifics:
- Everyone who wants to enter the pumpkin carving contest MUST BRING THEIR OWN PUMPKIN. They can bring their masterpiece home afterwards.
- We have a few pumpkin carving tools on hand but those who would like may also bring their own PUMPKIN CARVING TOOLS (no sharp knives please) if they have them.
- NO FUN LUNCH but the Travel Program Hot Dogs WILL be on sale.
- The Friends of North Point Society (Parent Council) will provide snacks.

Student Vote
It was interesting to hear the boys talking about the election when they came into school on Tuesday. Their engagement with the process obviously bolstered by the Student Vote program and their Social Studies curriculum. Mabel’s Labels

The snow in recent weeks has reminded us that the Holiday Season is quickly approaching! Mabel’s Labels has some great looking Christmas themed products. Check off one thing from your list and support North Point at the same time! 20% of all sales comes right back to our Parent Council (FNPS) to be used to foster the culture of our school. Check them out.
MEME CONTEST – UPDATE!

The 2nd Annual Financial Academy Meme Contest is underway. Please remember the following criteria in order for your meme to be accepted:
- Theme MUST be entrepreneurship and/or business
- Spelling COUNTS (Memes with spelling errors will be rejected)
The deadline is Monday, October 28, 2019, so keep your entries coming!

Volleyball – Grades 6-9

A blended team of grades 6-8s will play a tournament at Calgary Waldorf School on Friday, Oct. 25th.
Grade 6-7 Volleyball Practices:
- Monday’s from 3:30 pm till 4:30 pm.
Grade 8-9 Volleyball Practices:
- Wednesdays from 3:30 pm till 4:30 pm.
Please note if recess and after school practices may change due to certain circumstances or events then parents/students will be notified via e-mail. On any days where school is cancelled or not open, then practice will be cancelled as well.

GHOSTBUSTERS IN CONCERT: HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

Who ya gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS! Bring your proton pack and join the original paranormal investigation and elimination team for a Halloween party, featuring Ivan Reitman’s classic movie. The film will be accompanied by the CPO in a live performance.
Saturday is a family friendly event and we’re excited to have the The Calgary Ghostbusters at the concert, keeping the concert hall safe, paranormal free, and fun for the whole family with slime, Slimer, and their own Ecto-1!
