High School in Action

We wanted to provide a little ‘picture tour’ of the High School this week. When folks enter the school they are greeted at our Admin office.  Our Grade 9’s have all of their core classes in “Room 110”, the largest area in our space – with 19 students they require lots of room to spread out (Mr. Redick is rocking some Science)!  Our Grade 10’s are situated inside a smaller room sharing the main floor space with the Grade 9’s (Mrs. Zhang is teaching Math to a small group of Grade 10’s).

Our Grade 11-12’s are situated in ‘Room 300’ – in another wing of the same building. Our Grade 11 boys are enthralled in a humanities class with Mr. Fagan.  Room 300 also has two small offices in it, where we do some small group work and where our lone Gr. 12 student this year, Bauduoin, hammers out his assignments!

When the weather is cold, it is an approximately 30 second ‘frosty walk’ for teachers as they travel back and forth to teach their speciality classes.

And last but not least, our PE program takes place primarily inside the large gymnasiums of Mount Royal University. The facilities are outstanding and are only a short bus shuttle away from our high school campus. Our high school boys have PE class scheduled first thing in the mornings everyday.
