Hallway Leader Program
We have started a Hallway Leader Program, implemented to help make North Point the most safe, caring a welcoming school environment possible.
Hallway Leaders will be an extension of the staff as they help their peers navigate safely through the lunch hour recess. Hall Leaders will be positive in their orientation and approach in helping students remember where they are supposed to be, encouraging their peers to be respectful and intervening in any situation whereby they feel safety of their fellow students in being jeopardized. Teachers will be readily available to support, guide and mentor our hallway leaders as they will be performing supervision duties during recess as well.
Our Hallways Leaders also possess the authority and privilege to present a 5R recognition award at the end of each week. This award recognizes an act of being Respectful, Relentless, Resilient, Resourceful or Resourceful. Students that are presented with an R get their names included in a draw for a wonderful prize handed out at each Townhall Assembly.
The boys had an opportunity to apply for this leadership position and went through an interview process. Mr. Devost will be accepting further applications as we go along from boys that have demonstrated they can handle the responsibility of being positive leaders.
Our first two Hallway Leaders are Dominic and Brendin

Reasons for being a Hallway Leader:
- Dom: To develop my leadership skills
- Brendin: I want to help the teachers and help kids improve

List reasons why this job is important to the success of North Point:
- Brendin: We will be able to emphasize and model the 5R’s
- Dom: To help people be more respectful
