Our four Basketball teams have been very busy of late and that means our amazing coaches have been pulled in many directions as well. We are so proud of the character that our boys have been showing both on and off the courts. Time and again we have received positive feedback on how Respectful and Responsible the boys of North Point are.

FIBA BCLA Basketball Game
Opportunity to Watch World Class Basketball
North Point is excited to invite all students and their families to a professional basketball game being held at WinSport, which is in our neighbourhood. Calgary doesn’t often host professional basketball exhibition games and to have such a unique experience is quite exciting. North Point has reserved 80 tickets for our students and their families, so this is a first-come, first-serve event – see link to reserve tickets.
This is a professional FIBA basketball game under the BCL Americas division, where the best team from each country’s pro league competes in a series to be crowned champion within BCL Americas. The Edmonton Stingers are the best team in the CEBL, and Real Esteli is the best team in the Nicaraguan league. This game is set to be a nail-biter with potentially 3 former NBA players playing for the Nicaraguan team. The previous game was won by the Stingers in Nicaragua 84-81 with current NBA Los Angeles Clipper Xavier Moon helping carry the team. The question is will the boys from Alberta be able to get the win again. We encourage siblings and families to attend, however tickets are limited to 80 so it is first come, first serve.
When: Wed. March 16 @ 7:30PM
Where: WinSport Arena
Cost: $20 each
Bus leaves North Point @ 6:30PM
You MUST reserve your tickets by completing this form.

This year we had an incredible year in basketball. There were some heartbreakingly close games where our boys lost by just one point. Although losing is hard to take, it does teach us all some very valuable life lessons.
The most important goal in the basketball program this year was to have fun and learn and we managed to do that.
North Point Basketball Academy
North Point Basketball Academy has been an exciting program offered in collaboration with Legends Basketball. We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to the number of students and families interested in this program and hope to offer options like this and more as we continue to grow our sports opportunities for children at North Point School.
