And all of a sudden January is over! The cold snap was a challenge, especially for the buses, but Mr. Jackson kept everything on track, Mr. Devost and Mrs. Pirie were kept busy with numerous School Tours and we welcomed six new students! So exciting! We are looking forward to many good things in February and beyond. Our Checkpoint meetings are coming up and we look forward to sharing your son’s learning journey with you. Before you know it, our Travel Program students will be on their way as well.

Checkpoint Meetings are an opportunity for parents and students to meet with teachers to discuss progress and address questions/concerns.

The  Conference Manager by SchoolSoft is open for booking your Checkpoint Meeting. If you are not already registered in the system, you can self-register using the REGISTER NOW button located on the log in page. If you have used SchoolSoft for another school, you will need to create a new account for North Point School.


Mason was selected again this year to race for the Team Alberta BMX development team! Way to go Mason and good luck in your BMX season!


Interested in electronics engineering? This course is perfect for teens who are seeking more experience and knowledge in the field of electronics. For the duration of the project, students will experience designing and building different electronic circuits including breadboarding, printed circuit boards, soldering and a whole lot more. Students will take home several projects they build for this course.

Penguin Walk at the Calgary Zoo.
Everyday from Jan 13, 2020 – Mar 16, 2020 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
2020 marks the 8th year of the Calgary Zoo Penguin Walk! The king penguin colony heads out on the zoo grounds for a daily enrichment walk in the winter months and visitors get to experience the fun! This incredible program allows visitors to get an up-close look at the group of king penguins as they explore, exercise, and waddle their way through the zoo. This is a free-choice activity for the penguins and is subject to weather conditions.
