Notice of Annual General Meeting – Friends of North Point Society
All North parents are invited to please join us Thursday May 30, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. for the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of North Point Society (FNPS), held at North Point School. We will review the year and look ahead to 2019-20. There will be elections for the FNPS 2019-20 Executive Committee. We will follow the AGM with a regular FNPS meeting immediately after.
During the AGM, we will hold elections for the Chair, Co-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. All positions are for a one year term.
In the case where we may have more than one nominee for a position, each nominee will be allowed to present themselves to the audience and a vote will decide that position. You may only nominate a parent for a position if they have been asked prior to the meeting and are willing to have their name put forward. If you are not able to make the meeting, but are interested in a position, you may send a friend to stand in your place at the meeting for the nomination.
It is imperative that we have the positions held by a representative to ensure that we are able to meet quorum and have as many voices in our meetings as possible.
If you have any questions or wish to put your name forward for an executive position, please contact Maureen Appel at appel.maureen@gmail.com. See you all on May 30 at 7 p.m.

ATHLETICS & SQUADS

~~~ CISAA Athletics – Badminton
Ms. Quinn and Mr. Fagan want to congratulate all the Junior High badminton players on their efforts and dedication throughout the season! We played our tournament on Tuesday April 16 at ClearOne Badminton Centre. We had almost all of our players win at least one game out of their matches, and we sure know ALL the boys had a great time playing with a high ceiling! (Ha!) Daniel Montain was our only player to advance to Round 2, where he played another 6 tough matches.
We are super proud of how well everyone played and hope they had fun on the courts! Your 2018-19 Badminton Team was:
* Grade 7: Daniel Montain, Cayden Appel
* Grade 8: Grady Hagel, Josh Wiebe, Jack Feldcher, Brody Friesen, Andy Kilpatrick, Mikaill Jarvis
* Grade 9: Kellan Appel, Omar Elmarsafawy
