Hello North Point Families,

I want to thank you all for a wonderful school year. It has been another incredible year of building lasting memories and sharing smiles, tears, hugs and laughter. What an incredible journey we are on, working with 70 fantastic families this year and the soon to be 80+ families in much anticipation of the 2019-20 school year. To be able to work with such a special group of students, teachers and staff is such a privilege and quite frankly, so much fun.

As with any great endeavor, it is not just one person that brings success. Our North Point family consists of hard-working, committed staff who invest in each student; parent-volunteers who provide needed support to all our fun activities and celebrations; and a great group of boys who are always game to approach our adventures and projects with energy and enthusiasm.

What a year we had! The highlights for me were the Mother’s Day tea, hosted by our boys; our lively Father’s Day baseball game; the Passion Project, where I got to see what makes our boys tick; our biggest and best Business Fair yet; our night of laughs at our Junior High comedy night; the “out of this world” conversation with David St. Jacques while aboard the International Space Station; fun and fishing at Blue Lake; and a great Mountain Day hike at Lake Minnewanka, which included a visit from a friendly, frightened bear cub.

Through it all, our boys continued to develop into resilient, relentless, resourceful, respectful and responsible young men. We will greatly miss our grade 9 graduates, Omar, Kellan and Aaron. We hope you go on to high school and out into the world with the desire to problem-solve, and the courage to make a difference in your homes, school and communities around you. Please, please come back to see us – you will always be part of our North Point family!

I wish our entire community all the best for a fun, relaxing, well-deserved summer break.

Kim
