Jenny Davidson joined the North Point team this year as Principal for the Girls School. She is committed to learning about the school community, building positive relationships, and working diligently to build and grow a program that puts girls at the centre stage, developing confident and passionate girls who will be challenged to love learning and be given every opportunity to thrive and meet their full potential.
Jenny brings 13 years of experience including teaching overseas in South Korea, as well as teaching at an all-girls inquiry-based school and teaching and leading teams at a private school in Calgary. She is a member of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) Leadership Institute, a member of the International Coalition of Girls Schools (ICGS), and regularly engages in professional learning designed to improve educational quality and inspire whole school improvement. Over the years, Jenny has had the opportunity to provide professional development and mentorship to staff, and has served on several curriculum development and strategic planning committees.
Jenny completed her undergraduate work in Sociology and Psychology at Dalhousie University, attained her Bachelor of Education Degree from St. Thomas University, and completed her Master’s in Educational Leadership at the University of Calgary where she focused her academic research on personalized learning.
Jenny lives in Calgary with her husband Gary and her six-year-old daughter Olivia.
