January 2019 was our last edition of the monthly True North newsletter. Special features in that publication will appear every few weeks in this bulletin. True North will receive a facelift and change of scope and be reissued starting the next school year.

NEWS HIGHLIGHTS
Perogies, pierogis
The Gr. 1-3 class is making pierogis on Monday Jan. 28! North Point mom and owner of Jenny’s Delectables, Jenny Kohut, is graciously hosting us to explore UKRAINIAN cuisine at her shop. Jenny’s boys Axton (gr. 2) and Caden (gr. 4) are both students at North Point.
30% of proceeds come back to North Point School!!!
In addition to the cooking class, Jen has graciously offered to send a free pack of 12 perogies home with every NP family. Families will be able to purchase more bags, with 30% of the proceeds from those sales donated back to North Point School!
Watch for the pierogis and an order form listing all of products from Jenny’s Delectables coming home with your boys this week. It would be great if you could reach out to family and friends to support this fundraiser. Orders will be accepted until Friday Feb 8 and can be returned to the main office. Perogies will be delivered to the school the following week.
Now if we can only figure out the correct spelling of pierogis…!
2019 MEME Contest

Deadline to order yearbooks at lowest price of the year is Feb. 13, 2019. Keep those memories alive!
Online booking for all grades will open January 23 at 7:00 a.m. and remain open until February 7 at 12:00 p.m.

Please return all orders to the main office with payment included. Remember – 30% of all sales proceeds will be donated back to North Point School.
Students will be at school today to work on their Passion Project. Final showcase of all projects will be on MARCH 13, 2019. Mark your calendars!
Remember to order by WEDNESDAY of the week prior to the lunch.

I CAN, I WILL, I MUST
Yearbook Cover CONTEST!
Pull out those sketch books (or computers)!!!! Here’s your chance to see your work on the cover of the yearbook. All students are invited to submit an entry for the 2018-19 Yearbook Cover. Submission requirements:
- MUST feature our annual theme: I CAN, I WILL, I MUST
- Can be hand drawn or digital, colour or b/w
- Can be done as a group or by an individual
- MUST HAVE designer’s name on it please!!!!!
- Deadline is FEBRUARY 13, 2019 4:00 p.m.
Submit entries to Ms. Veronique’s office or by EMAIL.
Winning entry will have their design become part of North Point history, be featured on our social media and receive the new iconic North Point orange mug.
SUMMER CAMP 2019
It’s not too early to think about SUMMER CAMPS! REGISTER by March 31 for a $700 savings. All camps will be held at North Point School for Boys.
