Welcome to North Point High School
Our Co-Ed high school is a place where students from our boys’ and girls’ schools and new students to North Point School can come together and experience the best that a secondary education has to offer. With a focus on developing leaders with ‘5R Character’, our staff focuses on guiding our high school students in preparation for life after high school – whether that be post-secondary, an entrepreneurial endeavour, a gap year experience or some combination of it all. With small class sizes and experienced and passionate teachers leading the way, North Point high school students will learn what it takes to achieve post-secondary, career and real-world success.

Preparation for Life Beyond High School
Our 5R character culture is all about being Respectful, Resourceful, Resilient, Relentless and Responsible – these character traits have never been as important as they are now in the 21st century. Acknowledging that our world is changing very quickly and setting our students up for success with the support and guidance they need to navigate through the challenges they will face is our most important work.
Post-Secondary and business leaders highlight ‘soft skills’ as being the most important driver of success in higher level courses and in the workplace. North Point understands that we are preparing students for jobs that might not yet exist. Career readiness means equipping students with a strong set of skills that can prepare them for the unknown.
Social media has changed human interaction and created new challenges in navigating social situations. Being Responsible citizens is a key component of our 5R philosophy. The Internet has dramatically increased access to knowledge. North Point students learn how to process and analyze information.
Content knowledge from core subjects can only go so far; students need to be taught how to apply facts and ideas towards complex problems.

WHY ARE WE BRINGING BOYS & GIRLS TOGETHER IN HIGH SCHOOL
- High school students are more independent in their learning.
- The academic and social differences between boys and girls becomes less of an issue in the classroom at this stage in their development.
- A co-ed high School will create a more robust social environment at North Point as students prepare for the next steps in their education.
