A few of our grade 7s have started playing chess and this has piqued the interest of some of our younger boys. The 4/5 class has organized a Chess Club and it is already very popular.
In addition to the Chess Club (Wednesdays), a very Resourceful group of students from Ms Brunner’s class have taken it upon themselves to organize Basketball (Mondays) and Floor Hockey (Wednesdays) “pop-up” clubs. This initiative had these student leaders identify the interest amongst their peers, put up posters for promotion and sign-up, assemble the participants, and follow through with teachers and administration. Thanks to Jacob, Sloan, Burke, Austin, William and Helios for taking on this Responsibility and for these positive efforts.
We will always strive to provide different opportunities for our boys and we are proud of them for advocating for and planning these activities.
