This week, the Girls School joined the Grade 7 boys from Richmond campus to attend The Children of Willesden Lane at the Mount Royal University theatre, a beautiful and incredibly moving story of music, love and survival. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a Grammy nominated concert pianist, Mona Golabek, share her mother’s story of the Holocaust through her eyes in an emotional journey of classical, time period music.
We were impressed with the Respectful behaviour of our students as they sat silently and enthralled through the entire 45 min performance!! The schools in attendance were gifted memoirs to read more about the story. Our girls especially were very excited to get copies to bring back to the classroom.
